More Butterflies

One of my colleagues in Toronto has just lost her husband after a long illness.  Obviously a card is in order, so I tried to make something soothing, and I think butterflies are the ticket. Plus I still had all my stuff out from the last card I made so thought I might as well continue with the them.  A few have asked which SU set the flowers come from --- Abundant Joy.

Butterflies

One of the women in our region is sick, so I made this card for the Director to send to her to hopefully cheer her up.  I had John find me a picture of a Monarch butterfly so I could copy the colours and I'm very pleased with how it turned out.  I coloured the big butterfly; airbrushed the 2 smaller ones.  All in all, I'm happy with the way the card turned out!

Sweet Nick's Tooth Fairy Card

My sweet little Nicholas has just lost his first tooth!  Another in his long series of steps toward adulthood -- and as his extra proud grandmother I had to make him a card, which I can because the wonderful Jenn, CTMH Consultant was able to get me this out-of-print (or whatever) stamp set - Thanks again Jenn!!! Anyway, I tried to make it boyish by colouring everything blue -- I wonder if he'll notice --- he's 5 and a half!
Materials:  Stamps: Close To My Heart; DS and CS: SU: Colour by Copic and Glitter by Stickles. I should mention that there is a toonie under the tooth in the bottom right corner!

Thank you Angel

Lucky for me, a woman I work with accidentally bought this stamp twice, so I, very selflessly (!!) offered to buy the extra from her.  I just love her and have Melanie Holtz  to thank for the inspiration and I think my wings turned out better because of her!  The bow looks perfect because of that nifty "Bow Easy" otherwise, I'd take the credit!

Grazie!

Recently, I had dinner at my boss's house (together with the rest of our management team), where he served dinner made by his mother -- a genuine Italian feast!  It was delicious so decided to make a thank you card that would let her know how much I appreciated her work.  It was also a good opportunity to use this Magnolia Stamp - Baking Tilda!

Get Well Bear

One of our guys is recovering from a fairly crumby injury/illness so I hope this will cheer him up.  He is a fisherman, and had I known it, once caught a "pink" fish --- if I had known, I'd have coloured his fish pink.  Nonetheless, I hope this makes him smile!

With Sympathy

I find making sympathy cards to send to men to be extremely difficult and when you couple that with the need to make a card for a man to give to another man it's even worse.  But I think this one says sympathy, or sad at least.

Rapunzel

I'm finally posting this card which was my entry into the Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Day contest.  Unfortunately for me, Chantal submitted an absolutely amazing creation, so I didn't win, but I still like my card anyway.  Note the lovely curtains which I made myself!  One of my work colleaues had also given me some embellishments, so I was able to use one that looked like a little picture frame to complete my tableau!
Materials:  Stamp:  Kraftin' Kimmie's Rapunzel; Background materials --- from my stash - don't know where I got that purple paper which is too bad because I love it; Colour by Copic; Glitter by Martha Stewart.
